Spot Polyethylene prices rallied $.05/lb this past week amid soaring feedstock costs and some Force Majeure conditions in both Ethylene and Polyethylene. Spot Polypropylene prices moved another $.02/lb higher this week, supported by still rising feedstock costs and low resin inventories. Spot PGP monomer traded $.06/lb higher, last transacting at $.73/lb. Reduced splitting capacity has helped PGP maintain a huge premium over RGP, which added a few cents this week, now up to $.575/lb. March PGP contracts settled early in the month up $.05/lb to $.685/lb.
